Park Veterinary Centre officially opened its doors on April 1,1997 in a 1,500 square foot rental facility located about 400 meters from its present location. Our very first client was waiting at the door with an iguana when we opened! In 1998, our first additional full time vet was hired, followed by another in 2001. For over 20 years, we have assembled a team of highly skilled, dedicated veterinary professionals who share the same goal of offering exceptional veterinary care and superior service.
In 1999, we purchased a new lot of land on which we built the new Park Veterinary Centre as it stands today – a beautiful, state-of-the-art 6,800 square foot veterinary facility, which we officially launched in 2003. We’ve since expanded to develop an additional 1,000 square feet to better serve our patients and clients. We are thrilled to have been able to continue to grow, both in staff and in our business, and we’re grateful to all of those who have made it possible.
At Park Veterinary Centre, we place a strong emphasis on Availability, Amiability, and Ability. What this means for our clients is longer, more convenient hours, a fully staffed clinic to meet all of your pet’s veterinary care needs, and a dedicated group of caring, friendly, capable professionals who remain committed to the ongoing care and individual attention for each and every patient.
Our practice is one of very few practices in the area that services virtually all companion animal species. Our patients include dogs, cats, ferrets, rabbits, chinchillas, guinea pigs, hedgehogs, sugar gliders, hamsters, degus, and other pocket pets, as well as bearded dragons, iguanas, water dragons, chameleons, land and water turtles, and other reptiles. Whether your pet is covered in fur or scales, we’re well-equipped to assist with all of their healthcare needs.
Park Veterinary Centre is active in the community, doing volunteer work with Wildlife Rehabilitation Society, SPCA, Humane Centre, and a number of local churches. We employ a worker from Robin Hood Society (special needs) and are involved in Rotary International, assist the community with discounts and donations, and volunteer with with a number of charitable animal rescue societies.
